  • Happy things today

A lot of my packages came in today! How exciting :D I have to admit, I do have a little problem with shopping online, but it will be resolved once this holiday season is over. Because that means no more free shipping, no more huge discounts, and no more gift cards with free money on it for me to spend.

To start, my earrings! I love the beautiful packaging and the delicate earrings. Will definitely be wearing a lot.

Sephora sequin clutch (I LOVE SEQUINS!) which came really really fast and I only spent like $2 with the Beauty Insider gift card I got from Sephora. (& samples!!!)

I will be carrying it to the holiday party this weekend~

Hello lovelies! I'm so glad you're here!!!

You might have seen this on my wishlist...

They are so very comfortable and even have padding for the heels :D They fit perfectly! I'm having a lot of shoe luck these days.

I also got my fabric a few days ago. I am making snowflakes to put on my silver garland as you can see. And some more tawashi that I made for myself in holiday colors!

AE package also came a few days ago.

Yesterday it rained for most of the day. While on a walk (sans Aji because she gets smelly), I found this heart on the ground. I picked it up and brought it home. I wish I could have taken a picture of it where I found it, but it was too wet.

I've been playing with some action tools on PS... you like?

Right now my home smells divine ! Fresh baked bread can never be beat.

    PB&J <3

  • 20 things

for kimlxf. (I know, I'm so fast. :D)

    1. What is your favorite way to end the week?
Making plans for the weekend with Tare or just lying around with him and having the freedom to just rest with each other.

    2. What is the earliest memory you have?
I can't think of these things immediately... I guess I remember borahalmuni taking care of us in my grandparents' bakery. Or playing on my grandparents' bed in Korea in their old house.

    3. Where are you right now? What are you doing? What time is it? What are you wearing?
In my home...Currently 12:35pm. I am watching Golden Fishery episode and digesting a huge lunch of gobbler sandwich (turkey breast, stuffing, gravy on roll with cranberry jelly) & crystal rainbow sugar cookie). I am also holding a shaking Aji (I think she needs her sweater) in my lap. I'm wearing leggings, ON long shirt, and long jacket.

    4. How did we meet and how long have we known each other?
We met at church and it has been many years. 6? or maybe more.

    5. Have you ever fallen in love? And heartbreaks?
    Yes and no.

    6. Where is one place you want to travel and why?
I really want to go to Japan and take in all of the kawaii-ness & amazing food and culture. I want to eat many bowls of udon & ramen and stuff myself with street food & expensive sashimi. I want to buy yards and yards of wonderful Japanese fabrics and notions and bring back boxes of cute notebooks and planners and other things.

    7. Do you play any instruments? Dance?
I play piano. I plan on learning guitar now (brought back my mom's!). I dance all the time at home with Tare and we rock out. Outside, not so much. But I can totally do all of the popular dances like Kara and BEG and 2pm and such. :D

    8. Do you believe in love at first sight?
Not really. But it would be so romantic, yes?

    9. Best physical feature about yourself?
    Eyes and hands. Eyebrows.

    10. Any regrets?
    Feet. :(

    11. If you were on a remote island with no means of escape, what is the one thing you want to have with you?
Tare. He would make sure we don't starve and make a shelter for us. :D

    12. What is your favorite memory?
I have too many and I can't choose just one. Most recent one would be when we went to New York for my birthday. :D

    13. What is something you've always wanted to do, but haven't accomplished yet?
Have a child of my own.

    14. What's your favorite song?
At the moment I love 2pm's I was crazy about you, T-ara's Like the First time. OH yeah! JYP's No Love No More. Love the dance~

    15. Have any of your dreams ever come true?
    Yes!

    16. Do you have any favorite food/snacks?
I really like chicken lettuce wraps (my own recipe :D), curry (preferably Korean/Japanese), udon, sushi, & goldfish crackers with applesauce.

    17. If you were to eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would you want that meal be?
The genghis khan meal at Seoul Garden. Starts with some shabu shabu, then noodles in the soup, then jook in the soup. :D yum. For dessert I want some shikhye. How Korean of me.

    18. What is your favorite movie? TV show?
The Notebook, Bourne Trilogy, Time Traveler's Wife.
Criminal Minds, LOST, Heroes, Fringe, Vampire Diaries, One Tree Hill (although it's getting weird again), House, Monk, White Collar.

    19. What is one time when you were completely happy?
    Wedding day.

    20. What are your goals in life?
To serve and give joyfully according to what God has given me. To start a family, I want some little ones in my life.

    Tag, you're it!

Last night's Belridge Holiday Party :D It was held at Buck Owen's Crystal Palace.

Got a chance to wear my new skirt & purple tights! teehee

    My Thanksgiving Week

I've been back for a couple of days and I can't deny it---it feels really good. While I loved being home in Colorado with family & friends, I've adjusted to living here in California with just me, Tare, and Aji. I wish I could bring some of you and plant you guys here next to me but I guess the distance is good for the times we do get to see each other. Before I left I was wondering how I could cram in time with everyone I wanted to see and what my schedule would be like and how special could I make it. But once I arrived, it seemed pretty natural. The whole week was exciting and full and busy and it was wonderful.

    On our drive to CO...

Do you see the fog gathered in the valley?

One day in CO where one side of the sky did not agree with the other

    Our Thanksgiving dinner

Some extra special dessert made by SJ unnie

    It was delicious!

    All gone!

    Beautiful flowers my parents have

I love the macro function on my camera! I only wish I could do it with a DSLR one day... (major wishlist item!)

A panda I found at the Asian market after some dimsum (which was amazing by the way because I had craved it for months)
    LOVE<3

Our Settlers marathon over two days...

(I am not so conflicted as I am acting. I am just the banker with lots of work to do.)

For one moment, Aji took SJ unnie's place, very confidently I might add.

OK, so what is all this commotion about?

    Well, what do YOU see?

Bora discovered 6,5,10,8 create an interesting... shape. 8,3 were staged because Bora liked it so much. AHAHAHAHA.

So a couple of days were devoted to church and church activities. It seems pretty normal for us to just jump in and participate... it was like we never left. Almost (except for the new worship team :D go bo andrew josh).
Painting the rooms was a big job but it was accomplished and very rewarding to see such clean walls! I actually really like painting... can't wait to get a house to put some color on the walls. We've only ever had white ones :(
Operation Christmas Child volunteering flew by~ (probably because we were really late) but it was fun as always & I felt really grateful and happy about being able to help out and do something worthwhile while we were there.

    Random fuji pictures

Also before I left, I had looked up some restaurants/food joints I wanted to stop by in CO if we had the chance (because I am much more aware of that now AFTER I've moved out of the state) and the posse was able to have dinner at Le Central. It turns out I had been there before for a French class field trip, but that was so long ago. Wow, possibly five or six years ago. Anyway, the mussels italienne were delicious & very satisfying. :D & the company was wonderful of course.

What I enjoyed most about this trip was my time with my family. I missed my grandma's cooking and it was the best thing to be able to eat it again. Same with my mom's cooking. (I guess I am becoming more of an ajumma because nothing I cook is really good to me, however eating someone else's cooking even if it's the same food is just so much better.) I love the dinners at my grandparents' place where we are stuffed full of food, then fruit, then coffee and just sit around feeling full and happy. I loved the outings with my cousin and sister & playing games! Shopping with my mom and sister and laughing our butts off into the night because of silly jokes. Seeing my dad play with Aji with such excitement & love was so cute and funny. Being able to relate with my mom not only as daughter&mom but wife to wife, woman to woman. My mom is so wise and beautiful and as I continue to get older, I can't wait to get to know her more as a friend. She's like a future version of me because I can see myself in her and I want to be more like her. I'm so grateful for her and I know I won't take this time for granted. With any of them or the friends I love. :D

We had a good drive back on the first day. We arrived at the hotel just as it had started snowing.

The next day was pretty.... and then pretty horrible.

Imagine lines of traffic the whole way ahead for about 4 hours.
We arrived 5 hrs after what was estimated. (2pm --> 7pm)
We thought we were smart when we pulled out to Old Highway 58 but we were so wrong. There was traffic on there too after 20 minutes.

It's amazing how much you can sleep in the car; I think I slept for an hour every other hour. However, I was not well rested because my butt hurt.
No more long drives for now (...until Vegas).

    linen bag in RED

    empty & full.

probably my second bag following a pattern from a book. I wish I had blue linen like the book but red will have to do.
it took me forever to get up the motivation to actually make this bag although i had planned on doing it months before.
it's because i hate measuring and cutting fabric. smaller pieces are ok, but i would need a really huge table/cutting board to actually accurately cut these pieces for a bag.
i don't really do that which is why i probably end up improvising some parts but i like the imperfections and personalizations of my handmade lovelies.
made by me, imperfect yet beautiful.

little details I added instead of stitching across the top a few more times.

    the sides.

very pretty. not sure it's a winter color or style so I will wait to carry it around... :D
